A Newport company has won a major contract to provide advertising on thousands of bank cash machines in America.
I-design, which developed and supplies an advertising platform to the likes of Nationwide Building Society and bank machines in Tesco stores, described the deal as a “significant step” in its overseas expansion.
It is the first time the company’s advertising solution will have been seen in the US.
The contract is with Cardtronics, Inc., a company that manages the largest ATM network in the world with some 33,700 machines.
It will give i-design the exclusive rights to sell third-party advertising on 3000 ATMs of which 2200 are in America and 800 in the UK.
The company said it will increase the estate of ATMs available to third party advertisers by more than 50%, taking the total to 8600.
The company’s chief executive officer Ana Stewart said, “This is a significant new contract win for i-design.
“It both establishes our presence in the US marketplace, the world’s largest, and validates the flexibility and scope of our platform-independent solution atmAd.”
