Forfar NFUS secretaries Rob Beaty and Jeremy Parker have won the union’s Flame Award for the second time in three years.
The honour recognises outstanding effort in recruitment and retention of union membership.
“This young duo, who first won the Flame Award in 2013, continue to show drive, enthusiasm and verve in re-energising their local Angus branch,” commented an NFUS spokesperson.
Last year the men recruited 19 new members to the Angus branch and retained 96% of their existing members.
They brought in a subscription income that was 8% above the branch’s target for the year.
“It is a tremendous achievement,” said the NFUS.
The union’s unique local secretary network works on behalf of both NFU Scotland and NFU Mutual.
Union chief executive Scott Walker said the “dynamic duo” of Rob Beaty and Jeremy Parker “continue to make their mark in driving forward the work of the union in Angus”.
