Having selected her as champion at the previous evening’s show, the judge, Janet McQuistin, paid the day’s top price of 1,500gns to add her to the Airyolland flock which she runs with husband Neale at High Airyolland, New Luce, Wigtownshire.
This ewe lamb is by Woodies Razzledazzle ET out of Ballydown Phinny ET and was consigned by Stuart Wood, Woolhillock, Skene, Aberdeenshire
In-lamb gimmers sold to 1,000gns twice, with the reserve champion, Brickrow Trisha, from John Cowan, Brickrow, Auchincruive, Ayr, knocked down at this money to Irish breeder Matthew Burleigh, Enniskillen.
She is by Ardstewart Sherlock ET out of Brickrow Mambo Molly ET and sold in-lamb to Beechcross Mr T.
Also heading across the Irish Sea at the same money was Broughton Hooti Tooti from Andrew and Michael Dunlop, Corstane, Biggar.
She is By Woodies Ringleader ET out of Broughton Ruda Wakening ET and sold in lamb to Padkin Sugar Daddy.
Buyer this time was Paul Barnes, Rock, Co Tyrone.
Aged ewes were bid to 1,150gns for Callacrag Sian, a one-crop Clary Prankster daughter out of Calla Life.
She was consigned by Andrew Baillie, Carstairs, Mains, Lanark, and sold in-lamb to Matt’s Wazza.
The successful bidder was Robert Hamilton, Mid Shawtonhill, Strathaven.
A recipient carrying two embryos by the 12,000gns Woodies Snoop Dog out of a Belgian-bred ewe knocked down at 1,350gns to Southern Ireland breeder Wade McCrabbe, Donegal, buying from Stuart Wood.
