A library of professional photographs taken around Aberdeenshire has been made available to the public.
The images, taken by Aberdeenshire Council photographer Emma McGuire, have previously only been available for use by the local authority.
Now they can be browsed, paid for and downloaded from the council’s website, with prices based on intended use.
Emma’s photographs can now be downloaded in any format and any money made will be reinvested in council services.
She said, “I am so happy the photographs I take at all sorts of events in all kinds of places every day of the week are now available for people to browse and even buy.
“So often I’ve been asked for images from events or places which I just haven’t been able to provide, as much as I wanted to, and now I can. We live in such a beautiful area and it’s such a privilege to take images which capture the special environment we live in and the people who live in it.
“Some of the aerial photography is really special and I know it’s something that’s popular. These images capture most of our coastline and I think they give a really different perspective of where we live.”
It is thought the images will be popular with residents who want a professional shot of their favourite landmark, or with small businesses producing their own publications. The gallery part of the site is accessible here.
