A Dundee company is sponsoring a new TV series that traces and reunites long-lost family members.
Family history website Genes Reunited is part of brightsolid, an online publishing and technologies group based at the city’s technology park and owned by The Courier’s publisher DC Thomson.
Long Lost Family, hosted by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, begins its six-episode run on ITV1 at 9pm on Thursday, and Genes Reunited will be mentioned at the start and end of the programme and during advert breaks.
Chris van der Kuyl, chief executive of brightsolid, said the ITV1 show was a perfect fit for Genes Reunited.
He said, “As one of the UK’s leading family history research websites we are committed to helping people build and share their family tree and help them connect with their relations past and present.”
