People are relying more and more on social networking websites to lead their lives, but data can disappear at the flick of a switch.
That is where Dundee University product design student Steve Murray comes in.
He has created a Facebook Box that enables every piece of digital activity to be kept as a physical document.
The box has the ability to detect changes to a person’s site, with a logo on its lid lighting up to alert the user to new posts.
Once the lid is opened, each new post is printed out onto a piece of paper ready to be filed.
Steve said, “This creates a new way to use social networks and establishes that social networking no longer needs to be restricted to the confines of a digital display.
“This makes social networking a much more tangible experience.”
