As Twitter celebrates its 10th birthday, The Courier looks at some of its most notable users’ first tweets.
From Barack Obama to Katy Perry, it has become the platform for revealing the inner thoughts of some of the world’s most famous people.
JK Rowling promised to pay a “brief visit”, while fellow author Val McDermid said she was being made to tweet.
