Hospitalfield House to examine art and the paranormal

A ‘talk and tapas evening’ at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath on Sunday will adopt a Hallowe’en flavour with a presentation entitled Art And The Paranormal.

It will be given by Swedish video artist Victoria Skogsberg, who has completed a residency at Hospitalfield sponsored by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts.

Through examining ideas associated with spirituality and belief, science and experience, Victoria’s intention is to alter the viewer’s comprehension of the world and concepts of reality by looking beyond the ordinary, through presenting suggestions of the unknown.

She has used appearance and disappearance of the human figure in installations, photographs, wall drawings and video works to suggest a phenomenal presence in the space.

It begins at 7.30pm.
