An anthology of writing from Dundee and around the world was published yesterday.
New Writing Dundee celebrates its fifth volume of poetry and prose with work from Costa Book of the Year prizewinner Christopher Reid and a contribution from Saltire Society Literary Award winner Robert Crawford.
A short story by Adam Mars-Jones intended for inclusion in his novel Pilcrow will be featured alongside poetry from New Zealand’s Vincent O’Sullivan.
American writer Elisa Segrave has contributed excerpts from her memoirs while local authors Andrew Murray Scott and Kenneth Steven feature, as do many noted writers.
New Writing Dundee Five includes an interview with Scotsman literary editor David Robinson.
The publication will be launched on Thursday during a Literary Dundee salon which will include readings by Robert Crawford.
The event will begin at 5pm at Dundee Contemporary Arts.
