The View are to play a Christmas gig at Dunfermline’s Velocity on December 18.
Sure to be a sell-out, the gig is part of a 27-date UK tour of intimate venues to showcase their new material.
The band recorded their third album in London and it was produced by Youth. It’s set to be released early next year, with Rocktalk’s money on March.
Kieren Webster said, “We wanted to play some smaller shows before the end of the year and play the new material.
“The album’s been recorded for ages and it’ll be great to get out and play the new songs to a live audience.
“There’s no Dundee gig though because we want to do something special around the album launch. Nothing’s been confirmed yet though.”
Promoter Calum Taylor of White Riot Live said, “This is The View’s third show in Fife since the release of their debut album and if previous shows are anything to go by, this one looks set to be an absolute stonker.
“The Velocity gig is the last date of the tour and is the closest show to their hometown of Dundee.”
The tour starts on Monday, November 15, at Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree then goes on to Bathgate and Stirling, finishing the initial Scottish leg at Glasgow QMU on Thursday, November 18.
They then head south before arriving back at Dunfermline on the 18th.
