Scottish songstress Sandi Thom is to play a “landmark” gig in Dundee next week to mark the launch of her new single this month.
The Landmark Hotel is the venue for Sandi’s first Dundee gig for two years, where she will give an exclusive live performance of new song The House Of The Rising Sun, plus other tracks from her latest chart-topping album, Merchants & Thieves.
The show takes place in the hotel’s Winter Wonderland Marquee on Thursday night, where she will be accompanied by Dundee Beatles tribute band Revolver.
Sandi, who originally hails from Aberdeenshire but whose mother lives in Edzell, shot to fame five years ago through performing live DIY gigs on her webcam at home in Tooting, south London, which attracted thousands of viewers and led to a record deal.
Since then the platinum-selling singer has long since proved the sheer power of her songwriting, with her album and single chart-topping adventures.
Sandi will be back in Tayside for a gig at the Green Hotel in Kinross in April.
Tickets for next Thursday’s live performance at the Landmark cost £12.50 per person, with doors opening at 7pm.
