The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and a renowned Italian singer will star in a rejuvenated Glamis Castle Proms this summer.
After last year’s absence the open-air event has been scheduled for July 30, and last night the new organisers confirmed that Italian soloist Giordano Luca will join the RSNO for the evening, under the baton of Grant Llewellyn.
Luca, who won the audience prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition in 2009, began his career in the chorus of Maria Madre del Redentore in Rome and now studies in Rome with soprano Clizia Aloisi.
Llewellyn is renowned for his charisma, energy and easy authority in music of all styles and periods.
The finale will return to a spectacular firework display, created this year by the winner of the Scottish round of the British Fireworks Championships.
Super Early Bird tickets are available until March 31 at a reduced rate via www.glamis-castle.co.uk.
