Carnoustie Theatre Club swept the board in an Angus one-act play festival in Arbroath.
The club scooped prizes in every section of the 79th event, which was organised by the Scottish Community Drama Association.
The adult group won the Ian Mackay trophy after wowing the audience at the Webster Theatre with their production of Daisies, which was written by former club member Lisa Nicoll. They were also awarded a trophy for best stage presentation.
Members of the club’s youth team performed Sandgran by Brian McGuire and came second, as well as being presented with the youth trophy.
Also taking part were Kaimes Youth from Montrose with Death Of An Angel, by Helen E. Sharman.
The overall adult winners will now represent the northern district at the competition’s divisional festival stage in Birnam, and the youth team will head to the divisional youth festival in Orkney later this month.
Club president David Cheape said he was extremely proud of the group’s achievements.
“We are really delighted as a club,” he said. “We have a long-standing history with the SCDA festival so we are glad to be doing so well.
“For both our teams to have come first and second is just terrific.”
