Magicians, puppeteers and musicians are just some of the talented young people set to take centre stage at the Dundee Rep Theatre later this year.
The theatre is getting ready to host its first Dundee’s Got Talent show, providing entrants aged 12-19 an opportunity to showcase their skills.
As with TV counterpart Britain’s Got Talent, the Rep will host an audition round on September 4, before selecting 20 finalists who will perform in front of a 450-strong audience and a panel of four judges.
Registration for the audition process starts at 10am with entry fees between £3 and £5 depending on the size of the act, and all acts can register to enter on the day.
The final takes place at 8pm on October 14, with tickets going on sale next month.
The talent show is being organised by the Rep’s Young Ambassadors, who are still deciding who will sit on the judging panel however, it is hoped it will include two local celebrities.
The Young Ambassadors scheme is for people aged 12-17.
Members attend monthly meetings contributing to the programming of shows, events and marketing particularly those which focus on their peer group.
