A growing funeral home business has invested £250,000 in opening its fourth location in Fife.
Crosbie Matthew Funeral Directors, which has operated for more than 80 years, has opened new premises in Rosyth.
The expansion follows the firm opening its third premises, in Dalgety Bay, four years ago in addition to its sites in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes.
Managing director Sheila Matthew, whose late father Willie bought the firm in 1984, said: “We opened in Dalgety Bay four years ago and began to look after families in the area, including Inverkeithing and Dunfermline.
“When the opportunity came up for the building in Rosyth, it made sense, allowing us to offer facilities right in the heart of the area we had already been working in.
“It gives families more choice when the time comes.”
Crosbie Matthew, which employs 15 staff, has service rooms available at its Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy funeral homes.
The firm also owns a fleet of hearses and limousines, ensuring that all transport requirements are taken care of in-house.
It has also offered pre-paid, affordable funeral plans for over 20 years.
Ms Matthew, who has worked for the company for 30 years, added: “Having helped countless families across Fife during their time of need, we are delighted to now be extending that support to those in and around Rosyth.
“We have always been a family owned and run business which underpins everything we do, and the way we work.
“We all live locally and are part of the community, committed to providing a personal service tailored to clients’ specific wishes.”
Last year Crosbie Matthew started offering free bereavement support to help families come to terms with the loss of a loved one.
The funeral director brought in qualified counsellors with families offered up to six counselling sessions.
