Organisers of a series of meet the buyer events for the NnG windfarm are set to welcome more than 450 people as briefing sessions for potential suppliers arrive in Courier country.
The second event takes place in North Queensferry today, while on Wednesday, the venue will be the Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa in Dundee, with organisers saying the events are the biggest of their type to be held in Scotland.
A number of Tier 1 contractors will attend the supply chain events to give a comprehensive overview of the scope of work to be delivered throughout the project’s construction and highlight potential opportunities available to the local supply chain.
Delegates are being offered one-to-one meetings as part of a wider programme on the day.
Matthias Haag NnG Project Director said: “We’re committed to making sure Scotland benefits as much as possible from the project and these events are evidence of this.
“This is an important week for the NnG project and the project owners and the Scottish supply chain.
“More than 450 people have registered for what will be one of the biggest series of events like this to ever been held in Scotland.”
The Port of Dundee is marine hub for construction of the wind farm where all 54 of the project’s turbines will be assembled.
BiFab in Fife has been commissioned to construct at least eight of the jackets required for the turbine foundations.
