A Fife tech firm which has developed a platform to help family members keep in touch about relatives who need care has made the service free during the coronavirus outbreak.
Glenrothes-based Ember Technology launched its YooToo platform earlier this month.
The idea is that when there are updates about a person’s care, a message on the app keeps all family members in the loop.
It also allows reminders to be set so that medication is not missed, tasks to be allocated among family members and a way for the elderly person to give a “pain and mood” score.
Founding director Joe Henry said: “It’s an organisational tool that keeps everybody up to date.
“It’s launched in the last couple of weeks and we have realised it is going to be very useful to families during the coronavirus crisis.
“During the Covid-19 outbreak, we feel that everyone needs to play their part. We want to help by making it easier for families to provide trusted support for older members who are self-isolating.”
