The former chief executive of Scottish Development International has joined the Perth-based Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation as its new chairman.
The industry body – which plays a central role in representing salmon farming on a range of issues – has appointed Anne McColl to the role.
“When the opportunity arose to become chair of the SSPO, which has helped farmed salmon become Scotland’s number one food export, I was delighted to become involved,” Ms McColl said.
“I hope I can bring some of my international trade and investment experience to further the industry’s development,”
