Business support group Elevator will collaborate with world-leaders in low carbon energy when it launches its accelerator programme at the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc in Dundee.
Engineering, environmental and strategic consultancy Ricardo and Productiv, a clean engineering product development specialist, have joined Elevator as sector delivery partners.
They will provide industry insight for participants on the MSIP Sustainable Mobility and Low Carbon Innovation Accelerator programme.
Through a hands-on approach, joint efforts will concentrate on supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs who are focused on developing sustainable mobility, clean transport and low carbon energy solutions.
Specialising in the transport, energy and scarce resource sectors, Ricardo’s mobility, environment and energy teams will provide unparalleled advice to help the build and creation of class-leading technologies.
Meanwhile new product development specialist and practitioner Productiv will help participants with leading edge low carbon technologies break into production and to market, leveraging its hands-on experience and connections in the automotive and zero-carbon transportation sector.
The collaboration comes just one month after Elevator announced the launch of its new programme on behalf of MSIP, a joint venture between Dundee City Council, Michelin and Scottish Enterprise based at the former Michelin tyre factory.
Professor Gary McEwan, Elevator chief executive, said: “The shift towards low-carbon technologies has been accelerated following the sharp decline in oil prices earlier this year; it is clear that the fight for net-zero for future generations is high on Scotland’s agenda.
“The combined strengths of this new partnership will bring leading edge technical expertise to boost the development of technologies or services aimed at reducing carbon emissions at a time when a need for change is unequivocal.
“This is an example of how we are striving to support visionary entrepreneurs, while addressing sector specific needs to help drive economic recovery.”
