In association with our main sponsor, chartered accountants and business advisers Henderson Loggie, we are looking for companies that are pushing the envelope in the pursuit of real commercial success.
We want to hear from businesses that go the extra mile to serve their customers and from those that put the community at the heart of everything they do.
We are looking for individuals with real entrepreneurial flair and great teams with the drive to make a difference.
In total there are 18 categories for 2016, covering everything from digital, retail and rural concerns to family businesses, exporting, the services sector and tourism, leisure and hospitality.
And to keep everyone on their toes, The Courier Business Awards is moving to a new home for 2016.
This year’s black tie celebration will take place on Saturday, October 29 and will be held in a purpose built, 700-seat marquee in the grounds of the Apex Hotel in Dundee.
The Courier – which celebrates its 200th anniversary later this year – is working with Perth headquartered Arc Marquees to create one of the largest and most stunning event spaces the city has seen.
Editor Richard Neville said the 2016 awards were set to be the biggest and best yet.
“The Courier Business Awards have grown in stature ever year and are now widely recognised as the pre-eminent business awards scheme for Dundee, Angus, Perthshire and Fife,” Mr Neville said.
“Bringing the awards into Dundee – a city that is undergoing a remarkable economic regeneration driven by the £1 billion waterfront redevelopment – feels like the right thing to do.
“Like the emerging V&A Dundee design museum on the banks of the Tay, we see the Business Awards as a beacon for the local economy.
“From Laurencekirk to Loch Earn and Leven, The Courier Business Awards has shone a light on the many business successes on our doorstep.
“The 2016 awards are a chance for your company to enjoy that same limelight.
“Don’t delay, get your entries in today.”
Henderson Loggie managing partner David Smith said the awards are a terrific platform to highlight local business talent.
“Henderson Loggie is delighted to once again sponsor East Central Scotland’s pre-eminent Business Awards,” Mr Smith said.
“Now in its fourth year, the awards are firmly established as a platform for businesses to display their talent.
“Courier Country is fast becoming one of the most exciting and rewarding places to be in business and we are looking forward to learning about the businesses who will take part this year.”
