A Perth business has outgrown its city centre site and moved to new premises on the outskirts.
Whisky Auctioneer Ltd has relocated from basement rooms in Atholl Crescent to Ruthvenfield Grove in the Inveralmond Industrial Estate.
The online whisky auction company began with just two employees in 2013.
It has now grown to ten staff and built up its stock of whisky to more than 2000 bottles.
Marketing manager Laura MacLaren said: “We looked at the centre of Perth for bigger and better premises but we really couldn’t find anything suitable.
“We also have regular visitors, so issues like access and parking are important.
“These things could be a problem in Atholl Crescent but are not a problem at Inveralmond where we have found bigger and secure premises to accommodate our growth.”
Easier access is offered to customers from the across the country, she said, as well as significant additional space for the increasing number of bottles being received for auction.
Managing director Iain McClune said, “We are delighted that the business has flourished as it has done over the past three years.
“We don’t doubt that our location here in Perth has had a big part to play in our success.
“This relocation is an exciting new chapter for Whisky Auctioneer Ltd and should offer us much need space to continue to grow as a company.”
Whisky Auctioneer, which also auctions other spirits and wine, has moved to a site close to the developing Perth food and drink park in North Muirton on the east side of the A9.
The park represents a £5 million investment by Perth and Kinross Council and has been designed to create a hub to encourage all aspects of Scotland’s food and drink industry to thrive.
The only dedicated food and drink park in Scotland has attracted McLaughlan Transport (Perth) as its first occupant to commit to move in, with a possible opening date of 2018.
