A fashion retailer will open its first mainland UK store at Overgate Shopping Centre in Dundee.
The new DV8 store, in the unit formerly occupied by Topshop and Topman, will create 20 new jobs.
It will move into the 13,422 sq ft two-storey unit in the shopping centre.
The new flagship store for the firm, which has a number of stores across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, will open in early November.
The new jobs will comprise eight full-time roles and 12 part-time, including a manager, assistant manager and sales staff.
Overgate centre manager Malcolm Angus welcomed the fashion brand’s arrival in Dundee.
He said: “This is a welcome development for the centre and one which will transform a prime unit across two floors.
“DV8 is a popular fashion retailer which is enjoying strong growth.
“The new flagship will offer an impressive range of high street brands, many of which will be exclusive to shoppers.
“We look forward to seeing the new store take shape over the coming weeks ahead of its launch in November.”
Dundee is ‘the perfect location’
The multi-brand retailer, which has 50 stores across Ireland and Northern Ireland, stocks over 100 popular clothing and footwear brands.
Founded in 1994, many of DV8’s fashion lines are exclusive and include the brands Carhartt, Motel, Vans, and Ellesse.
A large digital presence has led to much of the company’s recent growth.

DV8 director Ramona Fitzpatrick said: “Overgate and Dundee is the perfect location to open our first UK mainland store.
“These are clearly exciting times for Dundee.
“The city’s connectivity to all main Scottish catchments, plus its sizeable youth and student demographic, has played an important part in guiding our decision to choose Dundee.”
She said the Overgate store was ideal for the brand.
Ms Fitzpatrick added: “Its prime location is well placed to showcase DV8’s top fashion brands for men, women and kids.”
The Topshop unit in Overgate closed in February this year after it was bought by online retailer Asos.
The sale came after Topshop’s parent company Arcadia, founded by Sir Philip Green, went into administration.
Asos also acquired the brands Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT.
The £265 million deal was for the brands and stock – but not the stores.
