Housing, employment and care organisation Hillcrest is in talks over a possible merger with support services group Cair Scotland.
Dundee-headquartered Hillcrest said it had worked closely with Cair in recent years, providing human resources, payroll and health and safety services to the organisation.
The pair also worked together when Cair established its first childcare provision at a Hillcrest-owned commercial property in Edinburgh.
Cair – which works with local authorities and NHS Tayside – also provides a range of support services for vulnerable young people and adults including harm reduction, restorative justice and mediaton.
In a statement yesterday, Hillcrest said both organisations shared a vision to provide good quality services to vulnerable people and children.
The group’s also found synergies in the respective culture and ethos of their board members and employees and said there was benefit to be gained “by working more closely together to enhance and further improve on the services already provided.”
Hillcrest said that as a result, it has now entered into formal discussions with Cair Scotland with a view to the organisation becoming part of the Hillcrest Group of Companies, as a subsidiary of the wider parent undertaking Hillcrest HA.
