An aircraft leasing and aviation recruitment firm has revealed ambitious growth plans after snapping up Perth Airport operator ACS Aviation Limited.
Glasgow Airport-based new owner Cloud Global is aiming to double turnover at ACS within two years as it looks to leverage its contacts to increase revenues and boost Perth Airport’s profile.
Director Graeme Frater said it was “business as usual” for ACS’s 16 staff and said recruitment was ongoing to boost the team further.
The ACS name is being retained and the firm will continue to offer a range of services from private and commercial pilot training to engineering and aviation maintenance services.
ACS will also maintain Cloud Global’s fleet of 10 aircraft under the new arrangement.
The purchase price has not been disclosed but the move creates a combined business with a turnover of £3.5 million and 20-strong workforce.
Current ACS Aviation managing director Allan Falconer is leaving the business.
Mr Frater said Cloud Global and ACS had worked together over the past six years and there were strong commercial reasons to bring them together.
He said: “There is a very high skilled team operating at ACS and we look forward to working with them to take the business forward.”
