A Tayside hotel has been voted best in Scotland for the second year running by reviewers on TripAdvisor.
Green Park Hotel in Pitlochry was also ranked among the top 25 in Europe for the first time.
And the four-star hotel was only pipped to the title of best in Britain by The Resident Covent Garden in London.
More than 90% of reviews on TripAdvisor give the Perthshire hotel a five out of five rating.
Guests noted the stunning location beside Loch Faskally and ranked the personal touch as one of the key ingredients for its high rating.
TripAdvisor recognition down to staff
The original Green Park Hotel was built in the late 19th century as a tranquil rural escape for two socialites who were prominent on the scene in Edinburgh and Glasgow at the time.
It has been run as a traditional country house hotel for over two decades by the McMenemie family.
“Obviously we are very pleased at the new listing, especially the ranking in Europe,” said co-owner Alistair McMenemie.
“It is good for the local area and Scotland as well.
“However, this is a reward for all the team, their attention to the guests and what they put in, every day, to make the hotel a place people want to come to.”
Photography and crossword classes
The latest TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award has been well received by staff.
Duty manager June Ann Gallacher has worked at the hotel for over 20 years, alongside husband David.
She said: “We get a lot of repeat visitors so it is like everyone is part of a big family.
“Obviously the scenery is a big draw but I think people also warm to the personal touch and respond to that.
“There can be a really big turnover of staff in hospitality but the staffing is quite stable here.”
TripAdvisor calculates the rankings from reviews and recommendations posted online by visitors.
The Green Park Hotel specialises in Scottish and French cooking and champions local produce.
