Tachograph maker Stoneridge Electronics suffered a small fall in turover in a year of internal restructuring.
Director Amanda Robertson, who heads the aftermarket division in Dundee, said the changes will result in improved profitability going forward.
She was commenting on the performance for the 12 months to December 2015 which have been issued by Companies House.
Overall turnover was down 4.7% at £14.8 million and the 2014 pre-tax loss of £33,000 deepened to £358,000.
The principal activities of the company are manufacturing and distributing recording instruments for a range of applications.
Stoneridge continued to invest in research and development of new products and engineering maintenance support on existing business with focus on product cost reduction.
The fall in turnover was the result of sales increasing in France and Spain.
She explained: “A high proportion of these sales are in Euros and therefore, due to the weakening exchange rate, this has had a direct impact on the turnover.”
The employer of about 100 staff in Dundee plans to continue its growth in core EU markets by increasing digital tachograph market share and adding new service products.
