The managing director of Fife manufacturer SignPlus Ltd is to leave the business.
The Dalgety Bay based group said long serving Gordon Miller has “agreed with the company to step down” from his position and said he will leave at the end of February.
The company said Mr Miller – who has spent 18 years with the firm – wished to take a break from the sign maker in order to seek out new challenges.
Group chairman Ken Richards said the board wished Mr Miller well for the future and said they appreciated his loyalty and commitment to the business particularly during its recent unprecedented period of growth.
Mr Miller is being replaced by former finance director James Barbour, who was appointed as joint managing director alongside Mr Miller late last year.
Mr Barbour’s appointment as new MD has been formally ratified by the SignPlus board.
The group has also moved to strengthen it management team with the additional appointment of experienced industry figure Lee Slater as new sales and marketing manager.
SignPlus was founded in 1992 by Norrie Taylor and Jim Mitchinson.
The pair remain with the group – which employs 34 staff – in a non-executive director capacity.
