A Dundee restaurant has been named one of the most instagrammable in the UK.

In a study picking out the top 20 most photogenic venues around the UK, Quayside Bar and Grill was the only Scottish entry on the list.

According to card machine provider Dojo, the Apex City Quay Dundee restaurant was picked for its stylish interior.

Apex Hotels chief executive Angela Vickers said the firm is honoured to be home to Scotland’s most instagrammable restaurant.

She continued: “We’re delighted that our vision to create a stylish and inviting all day dining space during our 2020 renovation has been recognised and awarded.

“Delicious, fresh, locally sourced, feel-good food is a firm fixture on our menu, encompassing dishes from the land, sea, and field, all served with flair in our beautifully styled, chic restaurant.

The study lists the UK restaurants with the most monthly searches on Instagram.

It highlights colour as an important part of restaurant interiors. Out of the two 20, brown is used in 14 eateries.

Green, which prominently features in Quayside Bar & Grill, is less popular, used in only four.

Head of interior design at ISA Architecture and Design Emma Franks said: “Our aim was to create a welcoming, exciting, and impactful interior suited every occasion.

“It’s fantastic that so many people have reacted so positively to it.”

The eatery offers a steak date night deal including a tomahawk steak to share with tasty trimmings including onion rings, chunky chips, and bearnaise sauce.
