A fashion fanatic has opened a new Dundee trainers shop which he hopes puts him a step ahead of the competition.
Ozkan Sayan, 44, has opened Trend XY on Whitehall Crescent to offer an alternative to Nike and Adidas.
All the trainers have been imported from Turkey, Ozkan’s home country.
The colourful range, with thick soles, are priced from £60 to £150.

Ozkan said: “In Dundee there are all the usual brands – Nike, Adidas… I wanted to bring something different. I want to give options to people.
“All the shoes have high quality leather and are from Turkey, one of the leading countries in the world for textiles.
“I have a brother who runs the same type of shop in Turkey so it was easy to find the contacts with suppliers.
“I’ve chosen the styles and there is more stock coming over in the next few weeks.”
The 44-year-old businessman also operates Infinity Mobile Phone Repair in Castle Street, Forfar.
The Broughty Ferry resident said there is still a need for physical retail shops instead of buying online.
He adds: “I think people still like to come and try for themselves in shops. Online is easy maybe, but I still think there are some people who like to feel and touch the products.
“I have good selling skills and communication with customers. I hope the shop will attract locals but also tourists coming from Dundee.”
The shop opened its doors to customers on Saturday.
