Economy minister Keith Brown visited the Newfordpark House premises of Forfar textile manufacturer Don & Low Ltd as part of his tour of local Scottish businesses.
The company employ over 500 staff, 83% of whom are from Forfar and the surrounding area.
Mr Brown said: “Technical textiles manufacturer Don & Low has been established in Forfar for more than 200 years.
“Continued product innovation, identifying emerging trends and adapting to the needs of new markets and customers have been critical to the company’s success.
“The Scottish Government launched our Manufacturing Action Plan earlier this year and we are determined to do all that we can to support companies like Don & Low, so they can continue to flourish and grow.”
Managing director Mark Newstead said: “We have numerous high-tech capabilities on site, which we are constantly developing to enhance our product and service offering to the market.
“With ongoing and continuous investment plans for Newfordpark House we plan to secure our future, and the future of the local community, for the next 200 years.”
