EQ Accountants is expanding its Dundee premises to accomodate growing numbers of staff.
The leading Scottish taxation and business advisory practice is growing its City Quay premises by incorporating the 2,300 sq ft unit next door, which was acquired at the end of 2018.
The work to renovate and connect the additional space started last week and will create an office of around 8,500 sq ft.
This will complete a £1.25 million investment in the City Quay property by EQ in the last two years.
Managing partner David Cameron said the investment was necessary as the firm planned to add to its current city staffing levels of 54.
He said: “We are delighted to be expanding into these new premises which reinforces our long-term commitment to the city.
“With growing demand for the services we provide, it’s crucial that we have the right people in place, and the space to accommodate them comfortably.
“Our effective recruitment processes are ensuring that we have the necessary resources as we move forward.
“With plans to recruit across all areas of the business in the months ahead, our expanded premises will allow us to accommodate our growing team and provide them with a working environment they can thrive in and be proud of.”
EQ Accountants also has offices in Forfar, Cupar and Glenrothes.
It has increased its Dundee workforce by around 70% since 2015 with recent recruits including school leavers and graduates to experienced professionals.
The limited liability partnership recorded revenues of £7.5m for the year ending March 31.
