A number of Scotland based chartered accountants have made the list of top 100 young professionals in their field as part of a global competition.
The Top 100 Young CAs list for 2019 recognises chartered accountants who excel in the areas of technology, trust and talent.
The CAs selected in this year’s list all faced a rigorous judging process focused on finding young professionals who are outstanding in their field.
The three categories of technology, trust and talent in the 2019 programme represent the areas of focus for the CA Agenda, a new thought leadership initiative launched by ICAS earlier this year.
One local nominee is Rachel Bell of EQ Accountants LLP in Dundee, who leads the company’s transaction tax team dealing with business sale, purchasing and restructuring and delivers a number of R&D claims annually.
She has led corporate finance deals totalling more than £27 million.
Another Courier country accountant on the list is Scott Greig, principal manager of EQ Accountants in Cupar, who had been described as key to the continued development of EQ’s Cupar office.
David Cameron, managing partner at EQ said: “I am delighted that two of our exceptional people have been recognised within the ICAS Top 100.
“Being a chartered accountant demands so much more than simply the passing of exams, and the development of Rachel and Scott over the last 10 years has seen them embrace that responsibility, and become mature and trusted leaders within our profession.”
