A Dundee-based recruitment firm has revealed its growth plans as it marks its first anniversary in the city.
HRC Recruitment is planning a recruitment drive after a 45% increase in revenues at its Dundee operation between the third and final quarters of 2018-19.
Now the independent recruitment consultancy is taking more space at the Marketgait Business Centre and also plans to add at least three recruiters to its team in the short term.
Ian McHardy, director for Scotland and head of Dundee at HRC Recruitment, said the city’s jobs market was positive overall despite “some challenges”.
He said: “We have seen real growth in the engineering and manufacturing sectors and many of the businesses we work with are continuing to recruit.
“We closed our strongest quarter in the city towards the end of the 2018-19 and, with a robust new business pipeline, we’re making real headway.
“The past 12 months have exceeded our expectations.
“We have taken additional office space and added to our team to meet the demand for staff.”
HRC Recruitment launched in 1995 and has around 60 staff in its offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The firm, which currently employs 11 in Dundee, said it was looking to add to its expertise in the facilities management, engineering, healthcare and electronics sectors.
Mr Hardy added: “We expect that to continue as we align ourselves with new emerging projects.
“There are opportunities in abundance in Dundee and we’re poised to support businesses across Tayside, Fife and Aberdeen with the additions to our specialist recruitment teams.”
