A young entrepreneur who was taught how to make pizza in Naples has launched a new business in Fife.
Stubborn Slice, owned by 20-year-old George Lorimer, pictured, sells a hybrid of Italian and New York-style slices of pizza from a converted 1971 Citroen HY van.
Based in St Andrews, his target markets are food markets, festivals, private events and weddings.
He said: “I’m trying to do something new and different – large slices of pizza, cooked in a gas oven, like they do in New York. It’s a more risky road to take because people are more familiar with wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas but doing slices also makes me stand out.”
Mr Lorimer trained for two weeks at the Association Verace Pizza Napoletana School.
