The osprey, which is officially called LM12, is believed to have returned to the Scottish Wildlife trust-managed site earlier on Friday. Staff are watching the bird on a live webcam. A source at the site said: “The male osprey has returned to Loch of the Lowes. “It’s on the nest. We think it’s LM12 but we are just waiting on a ranger coming to the reserve to confirm.”
