Animal nutrition and crop science company Alltech has launched a competition to win an all-expenses-paid trip to ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference, taking place in Kentucky in May.
Individuals involved in the UK farming industry who are actively showcasing the benefits of agriculture to the general public are asked to submit their entries online before April 5.
At a time when the farming sector is facing increasing scrutiny, Alltech says it wants to “connect, elevate and inspire” the industry to educate consumers on the merits on where their food comes from.
The competition is aimed at people aged 18-35, and entries can focus on efforts which include capturing farming stories on Instagram to taking part in Open Farm Sunday.
The company’s poultry co-ordinator, Emily Marshall, said: “This is a great opportunity to showcase what our industry does and provide a balanced message to the end user so they can make their own, informed decisions.”
