New Central and West Fife Show secretary, Tricia Mulrine described her first show day as an intense “baptism of fire”.
“I’m not a farmer and have only been at the show as a horse and pony exhibitor before, so have mostly been on the other side of the fence,” she said.
“I had no idea how busy and demanding it was going to be but I’ve had great support from the committee. I’m just glad we had a fabulous day and no repeat of last year’s wild winds which sent a few of the tents flying!”
She pointed to increased entries in the heavy horse classes and teams of driven Clydesdales as being among the highlights of the event.
She added: “Weather conditions have been perfect and people are smiling. It it has been a great event.”
