Stirling’s Caledonian Marts have teamed up with rural surveyors Davidson & Robertson (D&R) to provide property services for mart clientele.
D&R replace a previous Caledonian Marts collaboration with estate agents Baird Lumsden.
Caledonian Marts managing director John Kyle said he saw a lot of potential with D&R as they had many mutual customers.
“It’s an exciting collaboration and good news for our clients,” he said.
“D&R is Scotland’s oldest firm of land agents with a strong history of property valuations and sales.
“We have a very loyal farming base and provide a down-to-earth, practical approach to business – so do D&R.
“We believe they have the expertise, energy and enthusiasm to provide the wider range of services our clients are looking for.”
Mr Kyle said the backbone auctioneering business had received “huge support” from customers since the new company was formed in 2015 and was investing in services and repairs as well as diversifying into plant and machinery sales and insolvency sales outwith agriculture.
D&R director George Hipwell said his company had offices across Scotland and northern England and a growing presence in the Stirling area.
“Working more closely with the Cally Mart is a natural progression for both businesses and it’s a fantastic opportunity to have a Stirling base from which to support Cally clients and to open up new opportunities in the area,” he said.
