A burst water main has forced the closure of a busy road on the edge of Perth city centre with the traffic authority believing it could cause a danger to the public.
Perth and Kinross Council has prohibited traffic on Whitefriars Street from its junction with Riggs Road to its junction with the private access leading to the addresses 22/245 Whitefriars Street.
The diversion in place is from Riggs Road to the A93 Glasgow Road to Whitefriars Crescent.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
A council spokesperson said that the local authority was “satisfied that there is a likelihood of danger to the public due to burst water main on Riggs Road.”
