Trains across Scotland have been delayed or cancelled due to a body being discovered on the tracks at Dundee docks on Thursday.
British Transport Police officers were called to the railway bridge at City Quay just after 10.30am.
ScotRail posted on Twitter to say the firm was dealing with the incident, and “all services between the Central Belt, Dundee and Aberdeen” would be affected.
NEW: The emergency services are dealing with an incident between #Dundee & Arbroath. This will affect all services between the Central Belt, Dundee & Aberdeen.
British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police was called at 10.37am to an area of railway between Dundee and Broughty Ferry following a report of a body.
“Officers attended the scene; following enquiries the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
“Efforts are ongoing to locate the person’s next of kin and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
The cycle path was while inquiries into the incident began.
