Train services between the central belt and the north have returned to normal after they were delayed during rush hour as police dealt with an incident.
A Glasgow-bound service was halted between Perth and Dunblane this evening and British Transport Police officers got on board.
Trains in both directions were halted for around an hour until services resumed at 5.45pm but delays continued into the evening.
Police were on board a train in Perthshire dealing with an ongoing incident.
The southbound train was stopped on the line between Perth and Dunblane and all services were delayed in both directions.
Scotrail confirmed services were halted but would not divulge the nature of the incident.

Commuters said trains had been stuck on the track while British Transport Police investigated.
The operator said services had returned to normal and declared the disruption over shortly after 7pm.
