Traffic ‘very slow’ through A9 roadworks in Perthshire as tractor breaks down

Motorists have been warned of “very slow” traffic on one of Perthshire’s busiest routes due to a broken-down tractor.

Congestion is said to be building up due to the incident affecting the northbound A9 Perth to Inverness road between Bankfoot and Luncarty.

The breakdown is on a stretch of the route which is currently being affected by roadworks.

The road has been left partly-blocked due to the breakdown.

Traffic Scotland posted: “Road users should use caution on approach.”

In a tweet the organisation added: “Breakdown northbound in the roadworks between Luncarty and Bankfoot.

“Traffic is able to pass with stop/go boards but it is looking very slow on approach.”
