Police are looking for a bus passenger from the vehicle that knocked down a pedestrian in Arbroath earlier this week.
A 21-year-old woman sustained a serious injury to her leg and was taken to Ninewells Hospital on Tuesday after being hit by a Stagecoach double decker near to the station.
Officers in Tayside are appealing for information from the public following the serious crash.
They especially want to speak to one passenger travelling on the bus, who left the scene before the police arrived.
The 21-year-old crash victim’s condition is described as “serious but stable”.
Sergeant Craig McBean, of Tayside’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
“The 49-year-old male bus driver was uninjured but understandably very shaken by the incident.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police to come forward as soon as possible.
“I’m keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage which could help with our investigation.
“At the time there was one passenger on the bus who has left the scene prior to police arrival. I am keen for this person do get in touch with the police.”

The incident happened shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, 26 November, 2019, in Catherine Street.
The road was closed for two and a half hours while police carried out their investigations.
Shocked eye witnesses described it as a “major incident” and said at least two police cars and several ambulances had been called.
The emergency services remained on the scene for some time before the woman was taken to hospital.
Locals described the woman lying on the ground surrounded by ambulance personnel.
