Motorists are set to face disruption next week due to resurfacing works on a section of the M90 near Perth.
Part of the southbound carriageway near the city will see resurfacing works beginning on Monday for three days.
The works will be carried out between junction 9 at Bridge of Earn and junction 8 at Arlary.
Workers will carry out surfacing repairs across the extents of Balmanno Hill, with the aim of creating a safer and smoother journey for motorists.
A contraflow traffic management system will be in place during the works for the safety of both road workers and motorists.
This will be in place between 7.30pm on Sunday and 6.30am next Thursday.
In the lead up to the roadworks, there will be road closures on both the northbound and southbound carriageways overnight on Friday.
This will allow traffic management to be put in place before the works begin.
BEAR Scotland’snorth east representative Andy Thompson said: “These surfacing improvements at Balmanno Hill will help address any defects in the road surface, such as potholes or cracks, and will therefore create an improved road surface for motorists.
“We thank motorists for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.
“We encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance,” he said.
The project is set to begin on Monday at 6.30am and is due to finish by 7.30pm on Wednesday but the contraflow system will be in place one day before and after for preparations and clear up.
