Perth and Kinross Council has put in place an emergency road closure in Blairgowrie over concerns for public safety.
The traffic authority has decided that there is a likelihood of danger to the public caused by gas main repairs at The Croft from its junction with Allan Street to the junction with Ericht Lane.
All vehicular traffic on the 60 metre stretch is prohibited though pedestrian and emergency vehicle access to premises will be maintained.
The council believe the emergency road closure will stay in place until Friday February 28.
The alternative access route for vehicles will be Allan Street to Leslie Street to Ericht Lane.
