A man is in critical condition in hospital following a serious crash on the M90 near Bridge of Earn last night.
The incident occurred around 8.35pm on Tuesday on the southbound carriageway on the Inverkeithing to Perth motorway and involved a red Peugeot 306.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where they attended to a 28-year-old man who was then taken to Ninewells Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
One lane was closed for around five hours to allow a full crash investigation to be carried out.
Inspector Greg Burns, of Tayside Road Policing, said: "A man has sustained serious injuries and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information relating to this crash.
"The M90 is a busy road and I would ask those who may have dashcam footage of the area to get in contact with officers."
