A traffic warning has been issued after “large numbers” of motorists parked up and blocked a busy road near a Scots beauty spot.
The A83 Tarbet to Lochgilphead route has been partially blocked by vehicles at Arrochar, which is located at the head of Loch Long in Argyll and Bute.
Just after 2pm, Traffic Scotland put a warning on a stretch of the road between the A814 and B828.
The organisation posted: “Drivers are asked to use caution as they drive through Arrochar due to narrow lanes caused by vehicles parked on or near the roadside.”

One passerby said there was no room for two-way traffic at the spot, leaving it dangerous for buses and emergency vehicles.

It comes after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said on Monday that she will consider passing a law restricting travel to within five miles if people continue to breach the updated lockdown advice following a spike in traffic last weekend.
Police Scotland issued 797 dispersal notices last Saturday alone as people flocked to the country’s beauty spots to enjoy the sunshine.
Road use on Sunday, May 31, was up by 70% on the previous Sunday.
Traffic on the A82 near Loch Lomond, and the roads around Glencoe, was three times higher on Saturday, May 30 than the previous week.
A huge amount of rubbish was also left behind by visitors to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
And on Saturday afternoon, SNP MP Ian Blackford said he had spoken with police after receiving reports of tourists and second-homeowners arriving throughout his Ross, Skye and Lochaber constituency.
I despair at the selfishness of such people. I am getting reports in Ross, Skye & Lochaber of tourists and second home owners being here, I have been talking with the police re this. It is not acceptable to engage in non essential travel. The police will take an interest in this. https://t.co/Q370HabI72
