A man has been taken to hospital following a crash on the Queensferry Crossing.
The driver of a white van was injured when the vehicle collided with a barrier on the bridge across the Firth of Forth at about 1.50pm.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene.
Traffic was said to be extremely busy on the crossing as a result of the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “It was on the Queensferry Crossing at 1.50pm, northbound. It was one vehicle. Ambulance is in attendance. It looks like he (the driver) has been taken to hospital.”
There was heavy congestion on the bridge and M90 Edinburgh to Perth road as a result of the crash.
Traffic Scotland tweeted: “M90 Queensferry Crossing northbound is slow-moving due to heavy traffic following a road traffic incident.Please allow extra time for your journey.”
