Rail services in Tayside were affected on Tuesday morning after a tractor damaged a level crossing.
The incident took place on the line at Inchcoonans, near Errol, at about 8.30am and led to the cancellation of one journey between Dundee and Perth. Others services were delayed.
The tractor caused damage to the southbound barriers of the crossing.
Engineers were on the scene by 9am and had completed the repairs by 10am, allowing the line to reopen.
Shortly after the incident, ScotRail tweeted: “We’ve had a report of a tractor having damaged the barriers of a level crossing in the Errol area meaning we are unable to operate our trains between Perth and Dundee in both directions at this time.
“This will impact services running between Glasgow Queen Street to Aberdeen.”
A Network Rail spokesman said: “The level crossing at Inchcoonans was closed for a short time this morning due to damage to the crossing barriers.
“Our engineers were quickly on-site to repair the infrastructure and get trains back on the move.”
