Rail services have been cancelled after a downpour brought flooding to the line near a Fife town.
Services across the kingdom and Tayside have been affected by the deluge near Burntisland as Storm Francis sweeps across Scotland.
The railway line towards Kirkcaldy has been closed due to the incident, which ScotRail said was a result of “heavy” rain in the area.
Journeys to Perth, Edinburgh and Aberdeen are among those hit.
Storm Francis led to a Met Office yellow warning for rain being issued for much of Tayside and Fife. It will be in force from midnight on Monday until 6am on Wednesday.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) has also put flood alerts in place for Angus, Dundee and Fife.
A ScotRail statement on the Burntisland flooding reads: “Due to heavy rain flooding the railway at Burntisland the line towards Kirkcaldy is closed. Disruption is expected until 3pm.”
